Bracelet Obsession

Oh no! My bracelet obsession is back in full force after taking one look at these amazing creations by Monika from the doctorscloset.com! I actually believe that I may have more of an addiction to bracelets since I feel absolutely no control when it comes to spending tons of money adding to my countless collection.

But obsession or addiction, it doesn’t matter I LOVE bracelets and I love the Bfrend collection by Monika. She is a Vancouver girl with an awesome blog and clearly has an amazing fashion sense!

I especially enjoy wearing multiple bracelets at one time. I think that wearing many bracelets on one wrist can really add to an outfit. I’ve always worn more jewelry together at one time than I probably should, but the thing about bracelets is you really can never wear enough!

There are so many things I LOVE about bracelets! I love how although no one bracelet on my wrist is the exact same as the other they all go together and represent different aspects of my personality. I love the sound of all my bracelets clinking together as I reach in my hand bag to find my wallet or as I write this post! Unlike most other items like a handbag, a necklace, a scarf, or earings, where I have to choose which one I want to wear, what I love most about bracelets is how I never have to choose which one I want to wear because I can just wear them all!

Check out these bracelets by Monika that are definitely on my summer wish list!

I cant decide which one is my favorite because of course with bracelets I can NEVER decide, which is why I just wear them all! But I am definitely getting at least one! Most likely Indian Summer, Golden Cobra, or Pinky Swear. Which one would you choose?

5 Summer Style Musts

1. Color Blocking

Summer is always about playing with color, but this year more than ever! Mixing and matching solid colors on the bottom with solid colors on the top have been huge on the runway this spring and summer. This look is so easy to get and so in style there is no reason to say no to out-there red pants this year! Purples, oranges, and pinks seem to be the colors of choice.

2. Fuschia Lips

Bright colors like fuschia and coral are not just the color of our skirt, pants, or shirt this season, but the color of our lips! These statement making colors were huge this Spring, but if you haven’t already jumped on the bandwagon it is not too late because hot pink lips go even better with a sun-tanned face.

3. Layered Bracelets

I have always said you can never wear enough bracelets! Luckily for me this summer is all about accessorizing your wrists. Expect to see tons of mix matching, overlapping, criss-crossing, multicolored bracelets piled on one another. Go for gold this season to warm up your outfit!

4. Maxi Dress

A maxi dress is an easy way to create a laid back summery outfit. These long dresses can be thrown on quickly with a leather or jean jacket to make a fashionable outfit quickly. Maxi dresses don’t always have to have a hippie feel with floral patterns and bright colors, they can also have a more formal look. Like the dress on the right!

5. Raffia Bags

Raffia hats and mats are always beach appropriate, but this summer raffia isn’t just appearing at the beach. Raffia and woven bags are popping up on the runways. These bags are a must have this summer! My favorite is the little white Marc Jacobs!

Chunky Chic

Those that know me know that I always have an assortment of bangles, typically gold, around my wrists. But these days I am gravitating more towards chunky chic necklaces and I’ll tell you why!

These over-the-top bright colored necklaces, with tantalizing shapes and tempting danglers, can be the focal point of an everyday look. They can completely transform your T shirt and jeans into a stylish well put-together look. They can also add some creativity and fun to that little black dress.

These notice me necklaces come in many shapes and sizes, but one thing they all have in common is they are bold- and in my opinion, the bolder the better!

But one thing I love more than necklaces – shockingly more than bangles- is our planet! To me there is no better combination than something tres a la mode and at the same time helping our mother earth. Shopping on Etsy there are tons of eco-chic options!

While on Etsy, I came across eco-friendly chunky chic necklaces by Eco Bling Couture. Close to home in beautiful Vancouver, the Seattle based jewelry designer of Eco Bling Couture makes one-of-a-kind plant-friendly jewelry. Designer, Lika Schindler, makes her jewelry out of recycled, refashioned, and reused items.

Who wouldn’t want to help the environment and at the same time own an original piece of jewelry that can make any plain outfit a knockout!

Here are a few of my favs by Eco Bling Couture! Want to see more than what is just below? Check out Eco Bling Couture on twitter @EcoBlingCouture or shop online for these unique pieces and much more at http://www.ecoblingcouture.etsy.com.

Which one would you wear!? My favorite is the last one. I love the mini guns with the dangling jewels because it screams sassy, yet classy!
